Michael Gleich is a free-lance journalist and science writer currently involved in a number of multimedia projects on the environment, peace, and cultural diversity. The founder of the Culture Counts Foundation, he is an Ashoka fellow and has received numerous awards for journalism including "Science Book of the Year," the book award of the Deutsche Umweltstiftung, and on two occasions the media prize of the German federal president. His books include Life Counts, The Peacebuilders and Culture Counts. His main responsibility at AJA is the coordination of the three Counts projects.
