Workshops and Exhibit in Kaliningrad

 

Peace Counts on Tour will spend several weeks in Kaliningrad, where the Peace Counts exhibit "Successes of the Peacebuilders" opens on November 12. Prior to that, the Institute for Peace Education Tübingen (IFT) organized a series of workshops on peaceful conflict resolution for teachers, early childhood educators, NGO members, and youth parliament delegates. Two seminars on constructive journalism were attended by 30 journalism students and media professionals. They suggested that while Kaliningrad, despite disagreements about NATO missiles, is not a conflict zone, violence in families, schools, and prisons is an urgent societal problem for which the peacebuilders' proven methods provide valuable inspiration.
