Exhibition in the Goethe Institute in Abidjan
Peace Counts on Tour took its photo exhibition "Peace Builders around the world / Les faiseurs de Paix" to Ivory Coast from March 11 through 25, 2008. After Sri Lanka and Macedonia, the west African nation was the third stop for the tour. Elke Begander of the Institute for Peace Education Tübingen (IFT), with writer Tilman Wörtz and photographer Lukas Coch (Zeitenspiegel Agency), led workshops for journalists, teachers, and students. The Goethe Institute in Abidjan functioned as local partner. The project was supported by the Institute for Foreign Relations (ifa) and the German foreign office.
